# Install GeoEngage on Wix

> Add the GeoEngage tag to Wix as custom code in the head of every page, on a Premium site with a connected domain.

Wix adds custom code to your pages from the site dashboard.

## Add the tag

1. In your site's dashboard, open **Settings → Custom Code**. It's in the *Advanced* section.
2. Choose **Add Custom Code** and paste the tag:

   ```html
   <!-- GeoEngage — place in <head>, above your content.
        Do not add async/defer: the widget must run before the page paints. -->
   <script
     src="https://cdn.geoengage.app/ge.js"
     data-api-key="YOUR_API_KEY"
     data-require-consent="false"
   ></script>
   ```

3. Name it, for example *GeoEngage*.
4. Under **Add Code to Pages**, choose **All pages** and **Load code once**.
5. Under **Place Code in**, choose **Head**, then **Apply**.
6. Publish your site.

> [!NOTE]
> Wix only runs custom code on Premium sites with a connected domain.

**Why load it once?** Wix switches pages without a full reload, the way a single-page app does. The widget follows those page changes by itself (see [Single-page apps](https://geoengage.app/docs/widget/single-page-apps)), so loading it once is enough.

## Check it's working

Open your published site in a private window, then follow [the checks](https://geoengage.app/docs/install#check-its-working).
