Frequently asked questions
What counts as a session?
A session is one visit by one person. It begins on their first page view and ends after 15 minutes of inactivity, so a visitor who reads six pages in one sitting is a single session, and the same visitor returning the next day counts again. Sessions are not page views — most sites record several page views per session, which is why a session-based plan goes further than a page-view one at the same number.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Nothing breaks. We keep tracking your traffic and your dashboards keep working — there is no cut-off, no sampling and no data loss. Extra sessions are billed at your plan rate, from $1.00 per 1,000 on the smallest plan down to $0.30 on the largest, for the exact number you used — nothing is rounded up to the next thousand, and a month that comes to less than $1 is not charged at all. A small overrun costs a few dollars rather than forcing you onto a bigger plan. You can see the running figure on your billing page before it is ever charged, and if you are consistently over, upgrading works out cheaper — we will tell you when that point arrives.
Your session allowance is monthly on every plan, so paying yearly gives you the same sessions each month rather than one large annual pool — which means overage is worked out monthly too. A couple of days after each month closes we total what you used, and if your extra sessions come to $1 or more, raise a single separate charge for them. It is never taken in advance and never folded into a renewal you have not seen. You can watch the running figure on your billing page all month, and your dashboard names the exact date the charge will be taken, so there is time to upgrade first if that works out cheaper.
What is the difference between Starter and Growth?
Session replay, retention and AI credits. Every plan includes the visual rule builder, unlimited websites, unlimited rules, the live visitor map and full analytics — we do not hold features back to sell them later. Growth adds session replay, extends analytics history from one year to three, and triples your monthly AI credits.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — 14 days, no credit card required. The trial unlocks every feature, including session replay, up to 1,000 sessions. That is enough to see real data from a live site; if you need more volume during evaluation, pick a paid plan and we will sort it out. Each account gets one trial.
How long is my data kept?
Analytics history follows your plan: one year on Starter, three years on Growth and Enterprise. Your dashboards, exports and AI questions can reach back across that whole window. Session replay recordings are stored separately and kept for 60 days on every plan, because video-like recordings are far heavier than event data.
Can I change plans or cancel later?
Any time, from your billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are charged only the prorated difference; downgrades credit the unused time against your next invoice. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Are taxes and VAT included?
Yes, and the price you see is the price you pay. Payments run through a merchant of record, so sales tax, VAT and GST are calculated and remitted for you and your invoices are compliant in your jurisdiction — there is nothing for you to file on our behalf. In most countries the displayed price already includes tax; in the United States, where prices are quoted before tax by convention, any applicable sales tax is added at checkout. Either way the exact total is shown before you pay, and VAT-registered businesses in the EU can enter their VAT number at checkout to be zero-rated.
